At the end of this course, the students are expected

1) to broaden their horizon in the field of Coastal Engineering with the description of random nature of sea waves, and introduction of statistical and spectral tools used in coastal engineering problems.

2) to increase their ability to apply knowledge of statistics and computer programming on coastal engineering problems

3) to increase their ability to implement their theoretical knowledge for engineering application of random sea waves
