By the end of the course the students will be able to
- make sense of analysis of variance,
- make sense of nonparametric analysis and tests
- make sense of randomized complete block designs and balanced incomplete block designs
- make sense of Latin square designs,
- make sense of factorial experiments and two-level factorial designs
- make sense of blocking & confounding in experiments
- make sense of two-level fractional factorial designs
- learn to apply the various concepts regarding the design and analysis of experiments via appropriate software programs (especially Minitab and SPSS)
- evaluate and interpret the outputs produced by these software packages
