By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Acquire advanced knowledge to conduct in-depth research on traditional building materials commonly found in historic buildings, particularly in Anatolia.
- Develop an awareness of the importance of detailed documentation of traditional materials and techniques within the context of restoration studies.
- Gain experience in conducting focused research on topics related to traditional materials, especially when aligned with their Ph.D. thesis interests.
- Learn where and how to access reliable sources of information on historic building materials, including archival, technical, and on-site resources.
- Carry out a structured research project following an assigned format, and present their findings through both oral and written presentations.
