This course considers two questions: How do people design? and How can computers design? We review the research that has been undertaken for answering these questions and look at the theoretical frameworks, research methods and research results.

IN line with the main objectives, this semester will particularly address issues  regarding computational approaches focusing on sustainable architectural design. The ways in which intuitive / manual design processes and the systematic use of dijital tools (of modeling, performance evaluation, data analysis and visualization) will be experienced and explored on given design problems.
