By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- find, store, convert and otherwise manipulate multi-variable oceanographic data in various formats and at various spatio-temporal scales,
- write platform-independent code for data analysis and visualization,
- use publicly available scientific programming libraries and repositories,
- use state-of-the-art open access software for data management, plotting and mapping,
- keep up to date with the trends and advancements in this information technology field.
