Upon completing this course, each student should be able to;
- gain a basic knowledge about fundamental aims and values of science education
- develop an understanding of the nature of science, scientific inquiry and scientific literacy
- perform activities related to the science concepts, nature of science and science process skills
- clarify and refine their own views of the science
- appreciate the role of nature of science and history of science in teaching and learning science
- aware of misconceptions and prior knowledge students bring to science lessons and
- gain a basic understanding of use of graphical organizers in teaching and learning science concepts in both classroom and laboratory environments
- assess the quality of scientific claims and decisions about scientific and technological issues.
