At the end of the course, the students will be able to

1.1. have awareness about the concepts of information technology.

1.2. understand functional and user requirements in information systems.

1.3. get familiar with decision support systems in industry.

2.1. learn the basics of relational databases.

2.2. design relational databases and be able to normalize database designs.

2.3. learn Standard Query Language (SQL) to gather required information from databases.

3.1. learn the basics of widely used tools to store data and provide decision support via reports / dashboards (MS Excel, MySQL).

3.2. learn how to automate the processes: data manipulation (MS Excel, VBA for Excel) and reporting (MS Excel).

3.3. practice data gathering on widely used databases such as MySQL, design and create automated decision-support facilities.
