Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

• explain the basic properties of the relevant functional spaces
• understand and follow up a manuscript related PDE-constrained optimization
• perform their numerical implementation for optimization problems with PDE constraints
• conduct independent project work and disseminate the results in the form of a poster or a manuscript.
