A successful student will:

• be comfortable with the language of functions, compositions, and inverses
• understand polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions and be able to describe their graphs
• be able to solve linear and quadratic equations and equations with exponential and logarithmic functions
• be comfortable listening to, and thinking about, mathematics in English.
