At the end of this course, students will be able to:

- Write an essay on the history of women in Turkey.

- Compare the status of women and the effect of the reforms on the lives of women during the Ottoman Period and in Modern Turkey.

- Explain women’s struggles to liberate themselves from the traditional obstacles via education, professions, press, and associations.

- Identify women’s contribution to the country and national matters and women’s participation in politics in Turkey.
