By the end of the course successful students are expected to:

• demonstrate knowledge of ancient house types, domestic rituals and routines, artefacts, types of archaeological evidence, sources and prominent and/or representative archaeological sites with domestic contexts
• appreciate ancient periods and archaeological contexts as cultural heritage sites and potential research areas in architectural history
• critically use the knowledge of precedents in architectural design thinking
• apply the knowledge and critical approach acquired in the course to architectural history studies.
