Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:

• discretize a given PDE governing a fluid flow and/or heat transfer problem using FEM, and obtain an aproximate solution
• criticize the obtained solution
• write 1D and 2D FEM codes to solve fluid flow and heat transfer problems
• use existing commerical or free FEM software/libraries to solve advanced fluid flow/heat transfer problems
