Course Learning Outcomes

1. Students will define classic theoretical readings about gender issues on class and patriarchy.

2. Students will identify the intersection of class, gender and race by taking into consideration a number of global developments, such as the rising impact of neo-liberalism, and conservative and nationalist movements.

3. Students will discuss the intersection of gender and class by looking at diverse subjects such as employment, poverty, political participation, education, health, sexuality and reproductive rights.

4. Students will trace reasons and consequences of different practices of gender regimes embedded in diverse class and patriarchal structures.
