This is a course for graduate students, aimed to improve their grasp of the underlying theory for ecological techniques, especially on sample size determination, sampling and experimental design, mark-recapture studies, home range estimation, habitat selection and community level ecological analysis. Introductory level field ecology (BIO 448 or equivalent) knowledge is required as a background.
