This course aims to develop students' academic writing skills in English. EFL 155 is a learner-centered course that focuses on promoting higher order thinking skills while getting students to perform not only on the comprehension level, but to also evaluate information and ideas and make interpretations. The course aims to facilitate students’ critical thinking skills and help them to become autonomous university students who use writing for thinking. Students will practice and refine their writing skills by discussing their interpretations in class and online, posting and responding comments on ODTÜ Class, sharing their work with peers and producing formal and informal writing assignments.
