Course Learning Outcomes

Students are expected to:

demonstrate an understanding of the field of media psychology.

are able to name important empirical research methods and identify strengths and weaknesses and name fields of application within media psychology .

have knowledge about different media effects, negative and prosocial effects.

 to analyse media products (like advertisements) with regard to their possible social psychological impact .

to identify how media affects individuals and cultures.

to discuss how media can be used for socially constructive purposes..
