Upon the successful completion of this course, students:
- 1a-) correctly define what social psychology is;
- 1b-) describe social psychology's various domains of study;
- 1c-) distinguish between the methods that it uses and the conclusions that can be drawn by them;
- 2a-) identify basic theories and concepts in domains of social thinking (the self, judgment and decision making, behaviors and attitudes) and social influence (attitude change and persuasion, gender and culture)
- 2b-) find examples from movies or TV series to illustrate these concepts and theories
- 3a-) match daily life examples to the premises of basic theories and concepts
- 3b-) use social psychology theories and approaches to explain their own behaviors, judgments, attitudes, and interactions
- 3c-) apply social psychological concepts and theories to social issues, daily lives, media, movies and other activities / cultural products
- 4a-) successfully distinguish experimental from correlational research
- 4b-) identify the critical variables in a published article
- 4c-) correctly summarize findings of an article
- 4d-) critique the method of a published article
- 5a-) contribute to in-class discussions in English
- 5b-) express thoughts and knowledge in written English during final exam
