Knowledge: By the end of this course, the students will
- recall the core principles of disaster risk management of cultural heritage
- explain the phases of disaster risk management cycle in their own words
- know the responsibilities of public institutions across the spectrum of DRM of cultural heritage practices
Skills: By the end of this course, the students will be able to
- examine intrinsic, contextual, and institutional vulnerabilities of cultural heritage to a given hazard event
- examine the relationships between hazards, vulnerability, and risk. [These analysis skills will enable them to make informed judgments and decisions related to risks to cultural heritage.]
- propose risk prevention, mitigation and preparedness goals and strategies for a cultural heritage building/site
