Upon the completion of this course, we expect that our students will be able to;
explain the role of media in the instructional process
- design visual materials using the visual design principals
- use the procedures for selecting, modifying, and designing instructional materials
- identify criteria for appraising and selecting audio materials, visual materials and computer software to be used in mathematics/science instruction
- engage in basic steps of instructional material development using computer applications
- use basic tools for creating computer-mediated learning modules and be confident in using them
- design interactive instructional modules that involve text, visuals, online resources, or audio to be used in mathematics/science instruction
- show sensitivity to ethical issues and concerns.
