To get the senior mechanical engineering students familiarized with the experimental approach in various fields of mechanical engineering while focusing on the fundamental concepts of measurement techniques
To provide a hands-on environment to the students for their familiarization with some common instrumentation as well as their use in conducting a series of predesigned experiments
To make students to work as a team collectively on conducting experiments, processing experimental data obtained and presentation of the results of their experiments in a formal technical reporting format
