• Evaluation of factors considered in design of deep foundations. (b) classification of piles, load transfer mechanism. (c) methods of estimation of pile capacity. (d) settlement of piles and pile groups.

• Structural design of piles. (f) design of sheet pile walls (g) types of drilled shafts, and load transfer mechanism (h) load bearing capacity and settlement of drilled shafts.
