3	To be able to produce an original thesis and at least one scientific publication in citation index journals thereby contributing to broadening Marine Geology and Geophysics knowledge.
4	To be able to write original project proposals and conduct independent research which contribute to improvements in the fields of Marine Geology and Geophysics research.
5	To possess occupational and ethical responsibility with respect to Marine Geology and Geophysics.
6	To not be solely specialized in their own field of expertise but also to have a very proficient knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of Turkish Seas.
