1-The students are expected to appropriately select batch or steady state operation at the desing stage.

2- Students should be able to simulate a process involving reactors, heat exchengers and distillation/absorption columns, at elementary and intermediate levels using Aspen Plus

3- Students should be able to optimize a given process based on the given objective function using Aspen Plus
