Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to analyze and use:

(1)           MOSFETs, voltage and current characteristics and biasing

(2)           MOSFET Small signal operation and models

(3)           The Common-Source (CS), The Common Gate (CG) and The Common Drain (Source Follower) Amplifiers

(4)           BJTs, voltage and current characteristics and biasing

(5)           BJT Small signal operation and models

(6)           The Common-Emitter (CE), The Common Base (CB) and The Common Collector (Emitter Follower) Amplifiers

(7)           The High Frequency MOSFET Model, The Unity-gain frequency, The High Frequency Response, The Low Frequency Response

(8)           The High Frequency BJT Model, The Unity-gain frequency, The High Frequency Response, The Low Frequency Response

(9)           Cascode amplifier

(10)         The Four Basic Feedback Topologies (The Series-Shunt Feedback Amplifier, The Series-Series Feedback Amplifier, The Shunt-Shunt and Shunt-Series Feedback Amplifiers), determining the loop gain (A-circuit and B-circuit)

(11)         Using and plotting bode plots for stability analysis
