During the process of and as the result of successfully completing this course, each student will:
- gain an understanding of the significant role a peer helper can be in facilitating university adjustment for entering METU NCC students.
- develop and apply appropriate and transferable skills in leadership, communication, and helping skills.
- gain an increased awareness of role of goal setting & motivation in learning, time & resource management and have the opportunity to use this awareness to refine their own behaviors as well as to foster the development of these skills in their 1st year peers.
- develop and share ideas for the specific course activities and/or discussions.
- identify strategies to cope with challenges associated with the role as a peer helper.
- experience being a socially responsible METU NCC member.
