With this course as you progress into a career in teaching in various levels and age groups, you’ll have a chance to widen your perspective related to education at all levels and in all forms (formal, non-formal and informal) through learning about the major definitions and concepts of adult education and lifelong learning, the aims of adult education and lifelong learning and the process of learning in adulthood. The purpose of this course is to help you gain an understanding of both adult education and lifelong learning and to develop and use the appropriate approaches and materials to educate adults in both formal and informal educational settings. The course will also highlight the importance of approaching learning as a lifelong process particularly as educators and to instill this in our students in the future through role modelling.
