This course has three objectives:
·  to discuss different methods for the synthesis of nanomaterials and nanostructures;
·  to highlight the principles of different techniques used to characterize these materials and structures;
·  to evaluate the effects of nanostructuring on the mechanical, optical, electronic, magnetic, and chemical properties.
