Course Objectives
- Use DC and AC circuit performance parameters to compare different digital electronics design technologies, and verify expectations by measurements
- Identify the region of operation for diodes, BJTs, and MOSFETs to derive simplified circuit models
- Analyze and interpret the functions of digital circuits implemented using diodes, BJTs and MOSFETs as active devices, and verify by measurement
- Apply circuit analysis techniques to solve symbolically and verbally defined digital problems with small to medium complexity
- Evaluate a given digital electronic circuit by quantifying input/output voltage thresholds, high-to-low and low-to-high delays, static and dynamic power dissipation
- Use CMOS design techniques and building blocks to analyze, simulate, and design combinational and synchronous functions
