The student is expected to acquire by way and at the end of the course the following:
Skills:
- Evaluating critically research published in academic and professional journals.
- Analyzing and interpreting biogeochemical data.
- Constructing reasoned and balanced arguments and presenting them in oral (presentation) and written form (poster, project proposal).
Knowledge:
- Understanding the major impacts of ocean acidification on carbon dynamics, climate, living organisms, marine ecosystem. Acquiring methods to measure and calculate parameters of carbonate system.
- Learning about the major methods and strategy to carry out experiments on ocean acidification
- Overview on socio-economic effects and mitigation strategies.
