At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- ICT and media formats in terms of their advantages, limitations, and integration into science and mathematics education.
- foundations for instructional use of media and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), particularly computers, in science and mathematics education.
- visuals and visual principles in designing instructional materials
- basics of computer hardware and instructional software
- software tools such as word processors, spreadsheets, simulations, tutorials etc.
- video and audio in teaching and learning science and mathematics
- distance education, online learning, and the Internet in teaching and learning science and mathematics.
- quality assessment of various teaching materials with respect to their feasibility and efficiency of media and ICT use for the applications in science and mathematics education
