Course Objectives

OBJECTIVES:

1. Comprehension of the terms/concepts on:

Non-metric Geometry (Point, Space, Plane etc.) ;  Angles ;  Congruence and similarities;   Polygons (i.e. Triangles etc., Trigonometry) ;   Circles ;   Spatial visualization & Transformation geometry;   Solid Figures (Cube, Cylinder, Prism, Cone etc.)

2. Comprehension of meaning of theorem, definition and axiom/postulate.

3. Comprehension of Euclidean Geometry

4. Comprehension of Non-Euclidean Geometry

5. Comprehension of Van Hiele’s ideas

6. Application of theorems, definitions, an axioms on:

5. Development of teaching/learning materials to teach and overcome misconceptions:

6. Enjoy teaching  geometry.

7. Be self-confident in teaching of basic geometry concepts
