1) Understand basic translation theory and how it affects written translation from German to Turkish and vice- versa.

2) Learn a variety of German proverbs and idioms and be able to translate them into a close equivalent in Turkish.

3) Translate numerous texts  (300- 700 words) from a variety of settings.

4) Lern some techniques and aspects of Consecutive Interpretation, Simultaneous Interpratation and Sight Translation.

5) Understand how culture influences translation.
