Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, successful students will understand the basis behind the organisms' interactions with each other and their environment. They will be able to describe ecological concepts at the levels of individuals, populations, communities, ecosystems and global with relevant terms. They know the prevailing interactions and can also give unique examples from different terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. They can describe the energy and nutrient flow in different ecosystems. They will know the mechanisms behind the environmental crisis that the world is facing. They will be able to discuss what needs to be done in terms of research and natural resource management. They will also be able to attend to ecological research and even design a small-scale ecological study themselves.
