This course will introduce the students the major concepts, approaches, actors and issues in the International Relations discipline. By the end of the semester, you should be able to gain a thorough understanding of:
- International Relations as a discipline and major approaches in studying IR
- The historical context the modern international system has evolved
- Theories of International Relations
- Units of analysis (individual, state and system)
- Changing nature of war and security in international relations
- Tools of Statecraft and foreign policy analysis.
