First two weeks will be devoted to short lectures and discussions with students about ‘what is Modernism?’ The rest of the semester the above fields of culture will be analyzed in relation to the evolution of Modernism in Europe and non-European countries.  Students will be asked to submit papers on readings on the above five cultural fields.
