By the end of the class students will be able to:
- Understand the various forms of emerging educational research that are being conducted in the field of education.
- Design a research study within one of the emergent forms.
- Engage in class activities and discussion.
- Conduct all phases of an educational research study, including original research design work, entry into a setting, data collection, data reduction, data analysis, refinement of designs, and the reporting of research results.
- Assemble and present conclusions from research in a rigorous and cogent form, both orally and in writing.
- Offer constructive feedback on colleagues’ work and incorporate feedback into one’s own work
