Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be able to :
- Describe the differences between different test types,
- Define instructional goals and objectives in ways that facilitate the construction of appropriate tests and assessments,
- Define and distinguish concepts of validity and reliability and their role in the construction, selection, interpretation, and use of tests and assessments,
- Construct classroom tests and assessments that measure a variety of learning outcomes, from simple to complex,
- Interpret how tests and assessments contribute to effective marking and reporting systems and to improved instructional decisions,
- Take part in discussions about the recent developments in use of technology in testing today and in future,
- Assess test items' contribution to a test and create a report on their use.
