At the end of the course, the students will have
- a knowledge of the molecular structures of polymers, molecular weights and sizes, thermodynamics of polymer solutions, polymer morphology, crystal structure and crystallization theory,
- an ability to describe the solid-state properties (mechanical, thermal, optical and electrical properties, and so forth.),
- an ability to define the rheological properties of the polymeric materials,
- a fundamental knowledge of polymer processing techniques,
- an ability to discuss the relations among the chemical and physical structures of polymers, their properties and processing conditions.
