At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- The fundamental characteristics and functions of law, distinguishing it from other social rules, and the basic legal concepts and institutions in Turkey.
- The structure and functioning of the Turkish court system, including the different types of courts and their jurisdictions.
- The sources of Turkish Law, including primary and secondary sources, and how to locate and interpret these legal materials.
- Concepts of legal capacity, representation, and the ability to apply basic legal concepts to real-world situations, fostering critical thinking and comparative legal analysis.
