The main objective is to establish the skills and knowledge on performative design by means of computational methods and tools. Design is expected to act as the core of the research process (research by design).

By the end of the course, the students are expected to have acquired the skills and knowledge on:

• design computation, specifically generative and data-driven techniques, applied on performative buildings and sustainable built environment
• building energy erformance modeling, simulationl, data anaysis and prototyping in sustainable building design
• a critical inquiry on performance and computational issues in architecture
• a rigorous understanding of architectural form, materials, behavior, environment and architectural performance
