This course aims to deepen the students’ understanding of urban political processes by using an urban political economy lens that draws attention to the spatiality of political processes.

Having discussed certain critical concepts such as space/place/geography on the one hand, power and the state on the other, key issues and problem areas of urban politics will be explored throughout the course.
