Course Learning Outcomes

Ability to derive single degree of freedom linear mathematical models of vibratory systems.

Ability to solve given single degree of freedom linear vibratory models in frequency domain.

Ability to perform dynamic analysis of systems with Coulomb damping.

Ability to analyze and solve linear systems with periodic type of forcing.

Ability to analyze and solve linear systems with non-periodic type of forcing.

Ability to apply Lagrange’s equation to obtain differential equations for multi degree of freedom systems.

Ability to apply influence coefficients to obtain system matrices for a multi-degree of freedom system.

Ability to determine free and forced vibration response of linear multi degree of freedom systems
