Course Learning Outcomes

i.Students will be familiar with the basic communication system components and their analysis.

i1.Analyze circuits with nonlinear controlled sources and nonlinear components such as diodes and transistors.

i2.Identify narrow band coupling networks, and transformer-like resonance circuits.

i3. Make harmonic analysis for circuits that contain nonlinear sources and loads.

i4. Analyze resistive transistor biasing circuits

ii.Student will be able to design and implement communication system blocks such as amplifiers, sinusoidal oscillators, modulators, and mixers and know the methods to measure and evaluate such circuits.

ii1. Recognize amplifiers, sinusoidal oscillators, modulators, and mixers in a circuit.

ii2. Analyze circuits that contain amplifiers, sinusoidal oscillators, modulators, and mixers.

ii3. gain ability to analyze and interpret measurement data.
