IE 497 and IE 498 courses will provide for real-world experience in engineering system design. Student teams will work in collaboration with a sponsoring organization and in consultation with the faculty, on a problem area proposed by the organization. The objective is to provide and implement meaningful solution alternatives based on scientific and engineering knowledge and, to this end, teach students how to synthesize and make use of such knowledge.
